Jvs Creations

Our workshop is at No. 1587 on Sanghi Ji Ka Rasta. We are right across from Maheshwari School, so the street gets incredibly crowded when the bells ring and the kids head home. Jvs Creations has been in this lane for several years. It’s one of those narrow paths where you really have to know where you’re going to find us. Inside, the space is filled with the smell of new fabric and the hum of a couple of old fans. We keep the rolls of cloth stacked against the back wall. Some of them have been there a while. Our daily routine is pretty much the same every week. We open up, sweep the floor, and get to work on whatever is on the table. We aren't very good at the computer stuff, so we keep our records in big thick books. It's a bit slow, but it works for us. The neighbors often stop by for a chat while we are working. We don't mind the interruptions. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a longer break then. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It's just a handful of us doing the stitching and the finishing. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over, but that's just part of the job. We don't have any fancy titles. Everyone just does what needs to be done to get the orders out of the door on time.
