Dhanlaxmi Company is located at 319 Green Park, right near Dadi Ka Phatak. It is a busy part of town, and you can always hear the trains or the traffic near the crossing. Our office is a straightforward space. We do not go in for any of that modern office decor. It is just desks, chairs, and the files we need to manage the daily business. Being at 319 Green Park means we get a fair amount of dust coming in from the road, so we are always cleaning the surfaces. The morning starts early here, usually with a cup of tea and a look at the ledger. We have a small team, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. It is the kind of place where you hear the neighbors talking and the dogs barking outside while you are trying to make phone calls. The walls are a plain off-white color and we have a few old calendars hanging up. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there waiting for it to come back, talking about whatever is happening in the news. It is honest work and we do it in an honest environment. We are not trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. If you come by, you will likely see us surrounded by papers or talking to someone at the door about a delivery near the phatak.
