Jay Shree Keshav Vidhya Vihar Katarwada

Over here in Katarwada, Dausa, we have Jay Shree Keshav Vidhya Vihar. It’s a bit of a long name for a school that’s actually quite small and simple. We are right in the village area, so we see a lot of the same faces every single day. The school is basically the heart of the community for the families living around here. We open up early and the kids start trickling in from the surrounding houses. We don't have anything like air conditioning or fancy labs, just the basic rooms with benches and boards. Most of our time is spent on the state curriculum, making sure the students understand their lessons. The teachers here are local and they care about whether the kids are actually learning anything or just staring out the window. It gets pretty dusty in this part of Dausa, so there’s always a bit of cleaning to do. During the breaks, the kids are usually running around the dirt yard or sharing their snacks. We try to keep things organized, but with so many children, there’s always a bit of noise and confusion. It’s just a practical place for education. We don't make big promises, we just provide a spot for the kids to sit down and study. The day ends when the sun starts getting lower, and then we lock up and head home like everyone else in the village. It is just our regular daily life here in the school.
