Mbellish Stones

Mbellish Stones is located at Cc-83 in the Commercial Community Center on the Link Road in Jawahar Nagar. It’s a bit of a different setup than the big industrial yards outside the city. Being in a community center means we are surrounded by other shops and businesses. It’s a bit more paved and tidy, but we still have the stone to deal with. We focus on various types of stones that people use for decorating or finishing their homes. It’s not just big raw blocks here. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and helping people figure out what fits. The Link Road in Jawahar Nagar is always moving, so there is a constant hum of traffic outside our door. We keep our space as organized as possible, though stone is never really clean. There’s always a bit of grit on the floor. Our team is small, just a couple of us who know the inventory. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just open up, answer the questions people have, and move the slabs when they need to be moved. It's a lot of physical work disguised as a shop. We enjoy the local feel of Jawahar Nagar. People from the neighborhood stop in quite often just to see what’s new in the stacks. It’s a steady way to spend the day for us.
