Jansarthi Foundation

Jansarthi Foundation is based in a small village called Akhaipura, which is right near Manoharpura in the Jaipur district. This office is actually just the house of Shramji Lal, who is the son of Gyarsi Lal Sharma. Being in a village means things move at a different pace than in the big city. We started this because there are many things people here need help with, especially when it comes to understanding government papers or getting small bits of help for their farms. A professional setup with glass doors and air conditioning isn't what you'll find here. Instead, we have a few chairs under the shade and a table where the registers are kept. Most of the people who come to see us are neighbors or folks from the next village over. Word of mouth is how people hear about us, usually at the market or the bus stand. No websites or big advertisements are needed. Sometimes the day is busy from morning till night, and other times we just sit and talk about the weather or the crops. It is hard work because resources are thin, but we do what we can. Living here all our lives means we know every family and every lane in Akhaipura. It’s just a local effort to make the village a bit better for everyone who lives here.
