Jaipur National University

This office at B152B Nandpuri in Malviya Nagar is where some of us work for Jaipur National University. It's a residential street, so it's a bit quieter than the main campus areas. We have people coming in all the time asking about admissions or where to find their exam results. The desks are usually covered in folders and staplers. It gets a bit chaotic during the start of the semester when everyone is trying to get their paperwork filed at the same time. We try our best to keep things organized, but sometimes the printer jams or the internet goes slow. That's just how it is in a busy office. I’ve been working here for a while and I know the local shops where we get our lunch. Most of the staff here have been around for years. We aren't a big corporate headquarters; we are just the people on the ground helping students figure out their schedules. The building itself is an older one, and the stairs are a bit narrow. Sometimes the water cooler runs out, and we have to wait for the delivery guy to show up with the new bottle. It’s a lot of talking on the phones and typing on keyboards. We hear the kids playing in the street outside in the afternoons. It feels like a normal part of the neighborhood. We just do the daily work that keeps a university running smoothly for the students. It's a lot of paper.
