Jain Tuition Centre

You can find Jain Tuition Centre on the first floor of building number 16 in Van Vihar. It’s in the Barkat Nagar area, very close to Dev Nagar. Being on the first floor means you have to climb a narrow flight of stairs to get to us. The steps are a bit steep, so I tell everyone to watch their footing when they come up. Once you’re up here, the space opens up into a couple of rooms. We have simple desks and a lot of shelving for all the different books we keep. Barkat Nagar is always full of life, so there is always some sound drifting up from the street below. You can hear the vegetable vendors and the bikes going by. It’s a very lively atmosphere. I like to keep the windows open when it isn’t too hot outside to get some fresh air. The walls have some charts and maps taped up, mostly to help people visualize things. I usually get here around three in the afternoon to set everything up. It’s not a corporate office; it feels more like a study room at home. We have a small kettle in the back for making tea during the breaks. It’s a straightforward setup that has worked for us for a long time. It’s just a part of the neighborhood. We don't use any fancy equipment, just what is necessary for people to learn and do their work comfortably.
