Jain Stone Supplying Co is situated right by the Kalwar Road By Pass Puliya. Being near the bridge means we see a lot of traffic passing over us and beside us. It is a very open area, so the wind can get quite strong, especially in the winter. We deal with stone, so there is always a layer of white or grey dust over everything in the office. Our yard is usually full of different types of stone waiting to be moved. We have a small cabin where we sit and handle the orders. It is a basic structure with a tin roof that makes a lot of noise when it rains. We spend our time talking to the truck owners and making sure the loads are right. The puliya is a good landmark for people to find us. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just some plastic chairs and a sturdy table. The ground is mostly gravel and dirt. Every morning we sweep out the office, but the dust always finds its way back in by noon. It is hard work and the sun beats down on us during the day, but we stay busy. We have been at this bypass location for years, and we have seen the road get wider and the traffic get heavier over time. It is a straightforward business, and we like the location despite the noise from the bridge.
