Jai Shankar Traders

Our business, Jai Shankar Traders, is located at K-5 in Indira Bazar. We are very close to the post office, which is a helpful landmark for anyone trying to find us in the middle of the crowded market. Indira Bazar is always full of life and a bit of chaos, with people and scooters everywhere. We have a small storefront where we trade in various goods that the local market demands. The shop is narrow and we have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling to make sure we can fit everything inside. It is often a bit dark in the back, but we know where every single item is kept. We do not have any polished sales pitches or a big corporate structure. It is just us and maybe a helper or two on the busier days. We have been here for a long time and have seen many other shops come and go around us. Most of the morning is spent opening up the shutters and setting things out so people can see them. We talk to a lot of neighbors and regular customers who have been coming to us for years. It can get very hot in the summer months, but we just keep the fan going and stay busy. We like being part of the old market culture and do not see ourselves moving anywhere else anytime soon.
