Jai Narayan Modi

I’ve been based out of Shrirampura Colony for quite some time now. The address is 34 A, right in the Civil Lines area. It’s a fairly central location, which makes it easier for people to drop by. The building is one of those older structures that has seen better days, but it has a bit of character. Inside, it’s just me and the basic equipment I need to run things. There is a small window that looks out onto the street, and I spend a lot of time watching the world go by when things are slow. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, though you get the occasional loud motorbike passing through. I don't really believe in having a flashy office. It’s just a place to work. I’ve got an old wooden desk that has been with me since the start. People know to find me here during the day. Sometimes I step out for tea at the corner shop, but mostly I’m at the desk. There’s a lot of paperwork usually piled up, but I know where everything is. It’s not the most organized looking place to an outsider, but it makes sense to me. I prefer it this way, without all the corporate stiffness you find elsewhere. It’s just a simple, local spot where I handle my business matters. I’ve lived in this city all my life, so being here feels right to me. I don’t plan on moving.
