You can find our yard at Plot No 189 A on Road No 1 in the Vki area. That is the Vishwakarma Industrial Area, so it is exactly what you would expect—lots of workshops, loud factories, and trucks. We are quite close to the Murlipura Scheme, which is where many of the people who work around here actually live. Working in Vki means you get very used to the industrial noise and the big rigs coming in and out at all hours of the day. We have a lot of granite and marble slabs sitting out in our plot. It is a big open space because you really need the room to move these heavy things around without hitting a wall or another stack. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the heat of the afternoon, so we spend a lot of time under the shaded parts of the tin shed when we aren't actively moving stone. We are not trying to be fancy or polished here. This is a working yard, plain and simple. We show people the different batches of stone we have in stock, and we explain how the patterns might change from one end of a slab to the other. It is a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the edges do not get ruined during the move. We have a few guys who have been here a long time and they know these stones inside and out. It is just about getting the job done right.
