Hotel Rama

You will find us on Motilal Atal Road, very close to the old Polo Victory Cinema. This is one of the oldest parts of the city, and the streets are always crammed with people and rickshaws. Our hotel has been around for a long time. The walls are thick, and the layout is a bit confusing if you’re not used to it. We don't have a fancy lobby with air conditioning. There’s just a ceiling fan and an old wooden counter where I sit. People come here because we are close to the station. It’s a noisy area, with the sounds of the cinema crowds and the traffic never stopping. We don’t offer any special tours or services. We just have rooms with basic beds and maybe a small TV if it’s working that day. We spend a lot of time dealing with the city council about the water supply or the electricity. It’s just the way things are in 302006. My brother and I run the place together. We don’t wear suits or anything like that. Usually, we are just in our regular shirts, helping out with whatever needs doing. The rooms need painting every year because the dampness gets in during the monsoon. We are just a simple, local spot for people who don't want to spend too much. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but we’ve been doing it forever.
