Hotel Om Niwas

Our hotel, Hotel Om Niwas, is over at E 23 in Bani Park. We are on Kaushalya Path, which you get to via Durga Marg. Bani Park is a nice residential neighborhood in Jaipur, so it’s a bit quieter than the main city center. The 302016 area has a lot of old houses and trees. My family has lived in this area for generations. We turned part of our property into a hotel years ago. It’s not a corporate hotel. It feels more like a house. We have a small garden area where guests can sit. The rooms are all different sizes because it’s an old building. We don’t have uniform furniture in every room. Some pieces are quite old. I spend a lot of my time gardening or talking to the neighbors over the wall. We don't have a big staff. Just a couple of local guys who help with the cleaning and the bags. It can get dusty in the summer, so we are always sweeping. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. People find us because they want to stay in a real neighborhood instead of a busy commercial zone. It’s a peaceful spot, mostly. We just try to keep it tidy and welcoming for whoever comes down Kaushalya Path.
