Hotel Hardik Palace

Down in Gopal Bari, things are usually moving fast with people going about their business. We are tucked away in the Kalwar Scheme at D-19/20. It is a quiet spot compared to the main Jaipur roads, which we like. We work hard. The building has been here for a bit, and we keep it running as best as we can. My cousin helps with the front desk when I am busy with the laundry or talking to the kitchen guys about what to cook. We get a lot of people who are just passing through for a day or two. They want a place to sleep that doesn't cost too much, and that is what we provide. The walls are painted a simple color, nothing too bright or distracting. We have some plants in the front, but they struggle in the summer heat because Jaipur gets really hot in May and June. We make sure the fans work well in every room. Sometimes the neighbors are loud in the morning, but that’s just how it is in this residential block. We don't try to be anything fancy or high-end. It is just a place with rooms and a bit of space to sit. We spend our mornings checking the water tanks and making sure the towels are folded properly. It’s a repetitive job, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. Most of our guests are regular people looking for a simple stay and a quiet night.
