Hotel Gem Plaza

Our place is on Station Road, specifically at B-11/12 in the Fateh Singh Market. If you are standing outside the Rajputana Sheraton, you can just look across the street and see us. It’s a very different vibe from that big hotel, though. We are much more down-to-earth. The railway station is right there too, so the sound of trains and the whistle blowing is something we hear all day and night. It’s a busy corner of the world. The market is always crowded with people buying things or just passing through to catch a train. Hotel Gem Plaza isn't a huge place, just a handful of rooms and a front desk that has seen a lot of use. We spend our time fixing little things and making sure everything is ready for the next person who walks in off the street. The dust from the road gets everywhere if we don't keep on top of it. It’s a noisy, fast-paced area, but it feels real. We don't put on any airs here. People come to us because they need a spot near the station, and that is exactly what we provide. The 302006 area is always moving. You might see a cow walking past or a line of rickshaws waiting for passengers. It’s just a slice of life on Station Road. We have been here through many seasons and the crowd never really thins out much.
