Hotel Darpan

You will find Hotel Darpan tucked away in the B C Scheme area, right at Khandela House. We are located behind the Amber Tower in Jaipur. It is a bit of a quiet corner compared to the main bazaar roads, but still very close to everything you would want to see. The hotel has been around for quite some time. It is an older property with stairs and simple rooms. We do not have any of the modern bells and whistles you see in the new hotels. We focus on keeping the place clean and making sure our guests feel welcome. It is just a small group of us working here. We take turns at the reception and helping with the cleaning. In the mornings, you can hear the city waking up, but our lane stays relatively calm. We don't have a big restaurant on the premises, but we can get you some tea and there are plenty of vendors nearby selling good food. Most of our visitors are budget travelers or people who are in Jaipur for a short trip. We try to give them good advice on which rickshaw drivers to trust and where the best local markets are located. It is a modest way to live, but we enjoy meeting different people from all over. We just try to do our job well and keep the rooms ready.
