Hotel Ananda Green

Running a place like this on JLN Marg in Sunder Nagar 58 keeps us on our feet from early morning until late at night. There is always a leak to fix or a lightbulb that has gone out in one of the rooms. We try to keep the garden area looking decent, but the sun is harsh and the plants need constant watering. It's not a huge hotel, but it's enough to keep the three of us busy all day. Most of our time is spent checking people in and out or explaining where the nearest market is. The traffic on JLN Marg is pretty loud, so we had to put up thick curtains to help with the noise. Some days the laundry takes forever to dry, and we have sheets hanging everywhere in the back. The kitchen is small, so we just stick to simple things when people want breakfast. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few local guys who know how to handle the luggage and keep the lobby tidy. Sometimes the internet goes down and everyone gets upset, so we have to call the service provider and wait for hours. It’s a lot of mundane tasks like checking the water tank or sweeping the stairs. We just try to keep things running as smoothly as we can without much fuss.
