Hindusthan Zinc Ltd is located at Eh 2 in the Zinc Colony on Kapasan Road in Chittorgarh. Being in Rajasthan, specifically in a place named after the industry, means our lives are pretty much tied to the work here. The colony is a community where most of us live and work. It’s a bit of an industrial setting, with the Kapasan Road always having some trucks or machinery moving along it. We spend our days at the office or out near the operations. It’s dusty and can get very hot, but that is just Chittorgarh for you. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It has the basic stuff like desks, chairs, and old computers. We deal with a lot of heavy industry logistics and making sure the zinc operations are running okay. It’s a lot of coordination between different departments. We don't really have a 'corporate' feel because we are so close to the actual work. Most of us have been here for years, so we are like a big family. We have our meals together and talk about the plant. It’s a straightforward life. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy words. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and then go home to the colony. It’s a practical way of living and working in this part of Rajasthan. We just stay busy with the zinc and follow the daily routine.
