Himanshu Marbles

Our place is at A-1 on JLN Marg, right in the Vivek Vihar area. Being on such a major road means we see a lot of people passing by every single day. The marble we keep here is heavy and takes up a lot of space, so the layout is pretty open. We have different sections where the slabs are kept, and you can see the different veins and colors when the light hits them. It’s a lot of manual work to keep the place organized. We spend our mornings checking the stock and making sure the pieces haven’t chipped. JLN Marg can be a bit loud with the traffic, but inside the yard, it feels a bit different. There is a specific smell to cut stone and wet marble that you get used to after a while. People from Vivek Vihar and nearby neighborhoods often drop in to look at what we have available for their home projects. We try to keep things tidy, but with marble, there is always some water or dust around. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, just showing the stone as it is without any fancy tricks. The sun can get quite hot out here, but the marble itself stays cool to the touch. We just focus on the daily tasks of moving slabs and talking to folks who want to know about the different types of stone we have sitting in the yard.
