About Hamari Laado Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Jaipur
We are located up on the sixth floor of Mewar Apartment, room 606. This is in the Pratap Nagar area of Sanganer, which is a pretty crowded neighborhood these days. Living and working in an apartment building means you get to know all your neighbors really well, whether you want to or not. We use one of the rooms as our main workspace. It gets a nice view of the rooftops, but the elevator is a bit finicky, so sometimes we end up taking the stairs. We aren't some corporate entity with a big board of directors. It's just a small group of us who live nearby and wanted to start something meaningful. Most of our work is focused on the local girls and families in the building and the streets right around us. We don't have a big budget for advertising or anything. We mostly just talk to people when we see them at the grocery store or the park. Sometimes we host small gatherings in the living room to plan our next steps. It can get a bit cramped when more than five people show up at once. We keep our supplies in some plastic bins tucked under the table. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. We don't have fancy titles or a dress code. We just wear our regular clothes and try to be helpful. The apartment can get a bit noisy when the kids downstairs are playing, but we've gotten used to it.
