Gulabi Helping Foundation

Our place is located at 101 Mansrover Colony, right on Kalwar Road in the Jhotwara area of Jaipur. The Gulabi Helping Foundation has been here for a bit now. Jhotwara is a busy part of the city, and Kalwar Road always has something going on. Our office is just a regular room where we keep our stuff and meet up. It’s not very fancy, just some basic furniture and a lot of paper. We started this because we saw things in our own neighborhood that needed attention. We aren't a big international group; we’re just local people from 302012 who wanted to help out where we could. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with everyone talking at once, but we usually figure things out in the end. Jaipur is our home and being in Mansrover Colony keeps us connected to the people around us. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing. Most of the people who know us just live nearby or heard about us from a friend. It’s a very grounded way to work. We have our good days and our bad days, just like anyone else. Sometimes the power goes out or the phone won't stop ringing, but we just keep going. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s ours and it works for what we need to do. We just focus on the people who walk through our door and ignore all the corporate stuff people usually expect from foundations.
