You can find us at Shop Number 114 on Benar Road in Jhotwara. We are quite close to Bala Ji College, which means there are always a lot of people and motorbikes moving around outside. The shop is a bit small for everything we try to keep in it. We have tiles leaning against the walls and marble slabs stacked in the back. It’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around every time someone wants to see a piece that’s at the bottom of the pile. My back usually starts aching by lunchtime, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't a corporate chain or anything like that. It’s just a local shop where we know the names of the people who come in. We spend our days helping customers figure out how many tiles they need for a room or showing them the difference between the different types of stone we have in stock. The floor is usually covered in a bit of grit from the stone, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a practical business and we don't try to make it sound like something it isn't. We show up, open the shutters, and see who comes by. It’s a busy street and there is always something happening outside. We just stay focused on our work and try to keep the inventory moving so we have room for new arrivals next week.
