Golden Stone Co.

Our shop, Golden Stone Co., is tucked away in Haldiyo Ka Rasta over in Johri Bajar. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and full of life. It’s one of those narrow lanes where everyone knows everyone else. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. The space isn’t huge, but we make the most of it by stacking our stone samples along the walls. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. People stop by while they’re out doing their regular shopping in the bazaar. We talk to a lot of locals who are just looking to fix up a small part of their home. Since we’re in Johri Bajar, things can get pretty hectic in the afternoons. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us who know the inventory inside and out. We spend a lot of time answering questions about how different stones hold up over time. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a shiny reception desk. We usually have tea with the neighbors while we wait for customers. The building itself is old, like most things around here, but it’s sturdy. We like the energy of the market. It keeps us on our toes. Sometimes deliveries are tricky because the streets are so thin, but we always find a way to get the stone where it needs to go. It’s just how things work in this part of town.
