Our place is at Plot Number 85 in Shekhawati Nagar. We’re right off Kalwar Road in the Govindpura area. It’s a part of town that’s seen a lot of growth lately, which is good for a stone business. We have a lot of stuff piled up in the yard. It can look a bit messy to someone passing by, but we know exactly where everything is. We don't have a fancy receptionist or a leather-couch waiting room. It’s more of a place where you’ll find us in our work boots, probably covered in a bit of stone dust. We spend our days talking to truck drivers and people building new houses nearby. Being on Kalwar Road makes it easy for us to get materials in and out. We aren't into any of that corporate stuff. We just focus on the stone. Some pieces are heavy, some are fragile, and we treat them accordingly. We’ve learned over the years that honesty goes a long way in Govindpura. If a shipment is going to be late because of the rain or a truck breakdown, we just tell people. We try to keep things simple. It’s a small team here, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from moving slabs to writing out receipts. We’re just local people trying to run a decent shop and keep the inventory moving to the next job site. It’s hard work, but we like it.
