This part of the Central Spine is usually busy with people moving around all the time. Our office isn't very big, but it fits the few of us who handle the consulting and marketing tasks. The windows look out towards the other buildings in the complex. It gets quite bright in the afternoons, so we keep the blinds down mostly. We spend our hours mostly looking at spreadsheets or talking to people about their marketing needs. There is a coffee machine in the corner that we use way too much. The lift in the tower is a bit slow sometimes, so most of us just take the stairs since we are only on the first floor anyway. It’s a decent place to work, even if the parking downstairs can be a real headache during the middle of the week. We keep our files in these old metal cabinets that have been here since the start. It’s not like those modern offices you see in magazines; it is more lived-in and practical. We know the security guards by name and usually grab a quick snack from the vendors outside. The work keeps us occupied from morning until evening, and we just try to stay on top of the projects without getting too stressed out about the deadlines or the phone calls.
