Agra Road is always noisy, especially right here by Plot No- 2 where Ganpati Building Material is. We are situated right across from Bandawala Dhaba, so there’s always a smell of food in the air and plenty of trucks stopping by. This is where we keep our sand, bricks, and whatever else people need for building. It’s a dirty job, honestly. You spend most of the day covered in grit and watching the lorries back in and out of the yard. We’ve been at this spot near Purani Chungi for a long time now. People come to us because they’re doing some work on their house or maybe a bigger project down the road. It’s not a polished operation. We have our ledger books and a small desk where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times we’re just sitting there watching the cars go by on the highway. We try to get things delivered on time, but traffic on Agra Road can be a nightmare sometimes. It’s just me and a few guys handling the heavy lifting. We don’t have a big corporate team, just regular people working hard to make a living. The yard gets muddy when it rains, so we wear boots and just keep moving. It is what it is, a local yard for local folks who need stuff for their builds. It is a lot of effort but we enjoy the bustle.
