Freelancer

Our place is over on Bhairav Path, right near Patel Marg in the Mansarovar area of Jaipur. If you know Jaipur, you know Mansarovar is huge and can be a bit like a maze if you don't have the right street names. We are at number 70 115, which is a typical house-turned-office setup. It’s not a corporate park or anything like that. We go by the name Freelancer and this is where we do all our daily business. The street outside can get quite dusty, and there’s always some construction going on nearby, which seems to be the way things go in Jaipur these days. Inside, the space is pretty cramped with books and papers, but we know where everything is. We don't have fancy office furniture, just what we could find that was sturdy and cheap. The local market on Patel Marg is where we usually end up for snacks or tea during the afternoon slump. It’s a very grounded way to work, without all the pressure of a high-rise office building. We like being part of the local community here. People around here are friendly and it feels like a real neighborhood. We don't have any grand statements to make, we just show up here every morning and get through the work that needs to be done. It’s our small spot in a big city and it works for us.
