Foundation For Affirmative Actions

You can find us over at 3/117 in Malviya Nagar. The Foundation For Affirmative Actions has been using this space for a good while now. Malviya Nagar is a really busy area, but our street is tucked away enough that it doesn't get too crazy. The office is part of a residential building, so it has a very lived-in feel to it. We have a few rooms filled with books and files. There’s no big sign out front, just the house number. We like it that way because it keeps things low-key. We spend our days sorting through various projects and talking to folks who need some help. It’s not a high-tech operation. We have some basic furniture and a few computers that have been around for years. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just take a break and sit on the porch. We know most of the people on this block. It’s a friendly neighborhood where everyone says hello. We don't have a corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a small group of us trying to stay organized. We’ve seen the foundation grow a bit, but we’ve stayed in this same spot because it works for us. It’s a practical location and the rent is fair. We just keep pluggin' away at the tasks on our list. There’s always plenty to do, but we take it one step at a time. It’s just how we operate here in Malviya Nagar.
