Durgesh Seva Foundation

The Durgesh Seva Foundation is located out in Udaipur. You can find us at Gurudev Singh 32, Gokul Wilej in Titaradi. The area is 313001. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main lake area, but it’s a nice part of town. Our office is pretty basic. We’ve got some old wooden tables and a few cupboards for our records. Titaradi is a growing spot, so there’s always a bit of dust from the new buildings going up nearby. We are just a small group of people. We didn’t come from a corporate background; we just wanted to help out where we could. Most of our days are spent talking to locals and seeing what’s needed in the village area. We don’t have a fancy reception or a person to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. If the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. We get a lot of sun in the office during the morning, which is nice in the winter. We keep things very informal. There’s no need for big speeches or polished reports. We just keep a notebook of what we did and what’s left to do. It’s a very practical way of living. We’ve been here for a bit now and we like the pace of life in Gokul Wilej. It’s quiet, honest work and that’s all we ever wanted. We just take things as they come.
