Dinesh Marble

Down at 6 Khatipura in Madhur Vihar, you will find Dinesh Marble. It is a dusty place, mostly because of all the stone being moved and cut. We have different slabs leaning against the walls, and the floor is usually white with marble dust. It isn't a showroom with bright lights or air conditioning. It's more of a yard where you can see the actual materials. We spend our time measuring things and showing people the different patterns in the stone. Some pieces are heavy and require a few of us to move them carefully. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main roads, which is nice. We have a small corner with a table where we do the billing and talk to anyone who stops by. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. My hands are usually rough from handling the edges of the marble all day. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. People usually find us because they live nearby or someone told them about the yard in Madhur Vihar. Sometimes we just sit outside when the weather is decent. There’s a specific smell to wet stone that always reminds me of work. We just try to be honest about what we have in stock. If a piece has a crack, we point it out. It’s a simple way to run things, and it keeps life uncomplicated for everyone involved here.
