Deepshika College Of Technical Education

Our college is located in the Peetal Factory area of Shastri Nagar, right across from the Tambi petrol pump. It is a very busy part of Jaipur. You can usually hear the sound of the traffic all day long. The building is quite large because we need space for all the technical equipment and the labs. Students come here from all over the city, many of them on old motorbikes that they park out front in a messy line. The computer labs have rows of monitors and wires everywhere. It feels like a real workspace. The walls are painted a plain off-white color and there are notices pinned up about upcoming exams or practical sessions. Jaipur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so the ceiling fans are always running at full speed. We have some water coolers in the corridors that get a lot of use. People here are mostly focused on their books and finishing their lab work. It is not the kind of place with a lot of decorations or fancy lounges. Everything is very practical. The staff rooms are tucked away in the back where the teachers grade papers and drink tea between their lectures. Being near the petrol pump makes it easy for everyone to find the building. It’s just a regular technical college where people come to learn and then head home to their families in the evening. The local tea stall nearby is where students gather sometimes to talk after their classes.
