Danveer Aashraya Foundation

You can find the Danveer Aashraya Foundation over at House Number 82 in Basera Baikuntha, inside Rukmani Vihar. It’s a quiet enough area, which is good for what we do. We mostly provide a bit of shelter and support for folks who don't have many other places to go. The house is always full of life, and honestly, a bit of clutter too. We have extra cots and blankets piled up in the back rooms for when someone shows up unexpectedly. It’s not a hotel, and it certainly isn't a fancy corporate office. It’s just a solid, safe place to stay for a while. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure there’s enough food in the pantry. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when the rain is heavy, but we put a bucket under it and carry on. The neighbors are mostly used to us being here by now. We try not to make too much noise, but with people coming and going at all hours, it can be a challenge. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who take turns staying overnight and handling the day-to-day chores. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we’ve seen how much it matters to have a roof over your head. We aren't doing this for praise or anything like that. We just saw a need in Rukmani Vihar and decided to do something about it ourselves.
