Council For Sustainable Peace Anddevelopment

Council For Sustainable Peace Anddevelopment is based in Jaipur, specifically in the Mansarovar area. We have Shop No. 2 in Sector No. 43. Mansarovar is a huge area, so it took us a while to find the right spot for our small office. It’s a tiny shop, but it’s enough for what we do. We focus on peace and development, which basically means we talk to the community and try to sort out local improvements. The shop is pretty basic. We have a few chairs, a small table, and a shelf full of documents. It’s not a fancy corporate office at all. Sometimes the neighbor's dog comes in to say hello while we are working. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who are around most days of the week. We spend a lot of time drinking chai and discussing how to make things better in the neighborhood. We don't use big fancy words or make grand promises to anyone. It’s just about being there and listening to what people need. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the road right outside, but we keep it tidy enough. We don't do any marketing or ads. We just hope that our work helps a little. It’s a quiet, practical life here in Sector 43. We don't have any big mission statements on the wall, just a calendar and some notes. It works for us.
