Control Room South Water Supply

Down on Tonk Road at number 128, you’ll find the Control Room South Water Supply. We’re right in the Gandhi Nagar area, which is a busy part of town. This isn't really a retail shop or a place for browsing. It’s more of a hub where we keep an eye on how the water is moving around the south part of the city. There are usually a few of us here around the clock because the water doesn't stop for anyone. It can be a bit stressful when a pipe breaks or the pressure drops, but we’re used to it by now. The office is pretty basic—just some desks, some monitors, and a lot of logbooks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the gauges. It’s not the kind of job people think about until they turn on the tap and nothing comes out. We take that seriously, even if we don't talk about it in a fancy way. The building itself is older, and it has that smell of old paper and machinery. We've got our routine down, from checking the levels in the morning to handing over the shift at night. It’s important work for the neighborhood, even if it’s mostly done behind the scenes. We just stay focused on the task at hand and try to keep things running smoothly for everyone in Gandhi Nagar. It’s what we do day in and day out, and we are quite content with that.
