Chitrang Marbles

Chitrang Marbles is located on Manglana Road, right across from the Hotel President in Makrana. Being opposite a well-known hotel makes it pretty easy for people to find us, which is a good thing because the roads here can get a bit confusing. Makrana is famous for its stone, and we are right in the thick of it. The street is always busy with people coming and going, and there is a lot of energy in the air. We keep our yard open so people can see what we have as they drive by. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a professional spokesperson. If you walk in, you’ll likely find one of us covered in a bit of stone dust or busy talking on the phone to a supplier. The sun hits the slabs in the afternoon, showing the natural patterns in the rock, which is always a nice sight. We spend a lot of time walking around the yard, checking the quality of the pieces we have in stock. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy things and making sure everything is stacked safely. Manglana Road is a key artery for this trade, so we see a lot of different faces every week. We just try to be practical and helpful to anyone who stops in. It’s just a regular local business trying to do things the right way without any extra bells or whistles to distract from the work.
