Centre For Citizen Sensing Foundation

Our office is at C-403 in the Hitawala Complex, Uday Tower. Being in a complex like this means there is always something going on around us. Centre For Citizen Sensing Foundation started because a few of us were interested in how things work in our city. We aren't experts with fancy degrees; we are just citizens who pay attention to what happens. Our space is small and usually cluttered with maps and notes. It’s not the kind of place you see in a magazine. We don't have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from cleaning the floors to answering emails. We spend a lot of time looking at data and talking to people on the streets. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes. The elevators in the tower can be slow, which gives us time to chat with other people living here. We don't have a vision statement or anything like that. We just want to see things clearly and help others do the same. It is a very practical way of looking at the world. Sometimes we get overwhelmed with all the information, but we just take it one day at a time. Being part of Uday Tower feels right for us. It puts us right in the middle of things where we can see what’s actually happening.
