Carrier Computer

Carrier Computer is located just behind the Meena Rojgar Center over in Dausa Ho. It’s not on the main road, so it’s a little quieter, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on fixing a motherboard or a slow laptop. The shop is basically one room with a long workbench and a couple of stools. We have cables hanging from hooks and some old monitors stacked in the corner for parts. Dausa is a busy enough place, and we get a good mix of people coming in. Some are students from the nearby center who need their laptops cleaned up, and others are just locals whose home computers won't start. We don't have a big sign with lights or anything. Most of our work comes because someone told a neighbor that we could fix their machine. We spend a lot of time waiting for progress bars to finish on the screens while we talk about the weather or whatever else is happening in town. It’s a simple business. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy; we just look at the machine, see what’s wrong, and try to make it work again. Sometimes we can't find a part and have to wait for it to arrive from the city. We keep a small kettle for tea in the back. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day after day, in our little corner of Dausa.
