Kohinoor Marbles

Down here at D- 37 on Subhash Marg, things stay pretty steady for us. Being in C-Scheme means there are always people walking around or cars looking for a place to park. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. Kohinoor Marbles is just a local business where we handle a lot of heavy lifting. The marble slabs we have take up most of the floor space, so you really have to watch your step when you come in. It isn't a showroom like the ones you see in shiny brochures. It’s more of a working yard where things get moved around all day. We start early, usually before the sun gets too hot. By noon, the stone stays cool even if the air outside doesn't. We have a small desk tucked in the corner with old ledgers and some samples. People come in asking about different types of marble, and we just show them whatever we have on hand. Sometimes we have a lot, sometimes the inventory gets a bit low depending on when the trucks arrive. It's a plain building, nothing special to look at from the outside. We usually have some music playing on a small radio. If we aren't talking to someone, we are probably just checking the edges of the stones for any chips. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
