If you head down to Gangauri Bazar and turn into Barahji Ka Rasta, you’ll find us in the Shanti Complex. We are up on the second floor in room 212. Bhavan Graphic Printers has been operating from this spot for quite a while now. The bazar is always crowded and noisy, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. Being on the second floor gives us a little bit of distance from the street chaos, but you can still hear the sounds of the market coming through the windows. It’s a tight space, filled with the smell of ink and paper, which is something you get used to pretty quickly. We have our machines set up and they run for most of the day. It’s not a fancy setup with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a working print shop. We spend a lot of time checking proofs and making sure the colors look okay on the paper. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine gets jammed, and we have to spend an hour fixing it, but that is just how it goes. People from around the bazar know us well. We don't have a big marketing plan; we just rely on being here and doing the work that people bring to us. It is a busy, slightly messy, but honest way to earn a living.
