Balaji Marbles

Our shop, Balaji Marbles, is on Plot No. B-44 in Scheme No. 10B. We are right on the Gopalpura Bypass Road, which stays pretty crowded most of the time. If you know where Gangotri Garden is, we are just opposite that. I have been at this location for several years. It started small but we have added more stock over time. The bypass road makes it easy for people to drop in while they are driving through the city. We have all kinds of marble slabs leaning against the walls. It is not a polished showroom, just a practical space where we store and show the stone. I spend a lot of my time answering the phone and checking the inventory. Some days it is quiet, and other days we have three trucks trying to get in at once. It can be a bit chaotic. My family has been in the stone business for a long time. We do not have a big corporate structure. It is just us and a few workers who help move the heavy pieces. The dust is something you just get used to when you work here. We try to keep the yard somewhat tidy so people can walk through without tripping over pieces. People usually come by because they heard about us from a neighbor or saw the sign while stuck in traffic. We just show them what is available that week. It is a straightforward way to live.
