Balaji Clinic

We started Balaji Clinic here in Gram Paladi quite a while back now. It is right near the Balaji Mandir, which makes it easy for folks in the village and over in Lasadi to find us. Things are pretty quiet around here usually, but people do get sick and need a place to go that isn't too far of a trek into the bigger towns. We just open up the doors in the morning and see who comes in. Sometimes it's a cold, other times someone's got a bit of a fever or a scrape that needs looking at. It’s just how things go. Our spot is simple. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. Just some chairs for waiting and the room where we work. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets busy during the monsoon when everyone seems to catch something. Being in Phagi tehsil means we know most the families by name. You see them at the market or the temple and then they come here when they aren't feeling great. It’s a small operation, really. Just enough to help out the neighbors. The road can get a bit dusty in the summer, but the clinic stays cool enough. We try to keep things moving so no one sits too long. It’s not a big hospital, just a local clinic for the people living nearby. People usually just wander in when they have time. We are part of the daily life around here, just like the local shops. It is a humble setup but it works for us and the people who live nearby.
