Global Stones Pvt. Ltd. takes up a big stretch of ground from E-40 to G-47 in the Riico Industrial Area Bagru Extn. Having all that space means we can keep a lot of inventory on hand. When you walk from one end of the property to the other, you see row after row of different stones. It’s a long walk, and it’s usually quite hot out there in the Bagru Extension. We have a big operation here, but it’s still just a group of us managing the machines and the loading docks. There are always trucks backing into the gates at the E-40 side or leaving from the G-47 end. We stay busy keeping track of everything. The stones come in all sorts of colors and textures. We spend a lot of time sorting them so that when someone comes looking for something specific, we can actually find it in the yard. It gets pretty loud when all the cutters are going at once. We wear our boots and our gear and just get on with it. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with fancy meetings. We just meet in the yard and figure out what needs to be loaded next. The dust is a part of life here, and so is the sound of the heavy engines. It’s a massive area to cover, but we manage it one slab at a time.
