Baba Marbles

Baba Marbles is tucked away at the 3rd Crossing on Uniya Rao Ka Rasta. If you know Chandpole Bazar, you know how crowded it gets. There is always dust in the air here, mostly from the stones being moved around. Our address is 2965, and it’s right in the middle of all the action. We spend the day moving heavy slabs and talking to people who are building their first homes. They usually have a lot of questions about patterns and how the stone will wear over time. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's mostly just the warehouse feel with stone stacked against the walls. You have to be careful where you walk so you don't trip on a stray piece of marble. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the summer, so we keep the fans running constantly. It’s a family-run sort of place, so you might see one of us eating lunch in the back while another handles a customer. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and the neighbors are all like family. The work is physical and leaves your hands feeling rough by the end of the day. We just focus on getting the right pieces out to the trucks without breaking anything in the process. Sometimes the rain washes the dust away for a bit, but it always comes back as soon as the stone is dry. We close up around seven when the bazaar starts to quiet down.
