Ashok Goel

I’m Ashok Goel and you can find me at 24 Kailashpuri in Sodala, right off the New Sanganer Road in Shyamnagar, Jaipur. This part of Jaipur is always moving fast. My place is tucked away a bit but once you find Kailashpuri, it’s easy to spot the number 24. I’ve been working out of this location for a good number of years. It’s a mix of a home and a workspace, which is how many of us do it around here. I don’t have a big corporate office with air conditioning and fancy chairs. We have a few plastic chairs for visitors and a wooden desk that my father used before me. It’s got a lot of history. Most of my day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in with their requirements. I don’t use any of those modern marketing tricks. I just tell people what I can do and we go from there. If I can’t help, I usually know someone in the neighborhood who can. That’s how we keep things going in Sodala. The traffic on New Sanganer Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so I usually try to finish up before the rush starts. It’s just a small, local operation run by people who live right here. We do our best with what we have and don’t make any big promises we can’t keep. The neighborhood has been good to us.
