Arravali Marbles

Our place is at 1/24 in Malviya Nagar. It’s a bit of a tight spot sometimes when the big trucks come in to drop off new loads of marble, but we make it work. We’ve been handling marble for quite some time now. It’s a lot of lifting and looking at patterns. No two slabs are ever the same, which is the interesting part of the job. We don’t have a showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just the yard and a small desk where we keep the bills. People from the neighborhood often stop by when they’re renovating their homes. They want to see the marble in person, touch the surface, and see how the light hits it. We let them wander around and look at what we’ve got. We don’t hover or try to push them into buying anything specific. Stone sells itself or it doesn't. We keep a lot of white marble because that’s what people usually want, but we have some colored ones tucked away too. The work is physically demanding and it gets tiring, but there is something nice about seeing a finished floor made from a slab that was sitting in our yard. We keep things low-key and just try to be helpful when someone has a question about a piece of stone.
