If you head out toward Harmada, you will find Arpit Marbles Pvt Ltd at C 1 46 47 on Road No 9. The yard is usually full of large slabs of stone. Working with marble is heavy work and it gets quite dusty around here. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and talking to customers who come in looking for flooring or kitchen tops. Road No 9 is a busy stretch with a lot of industrial activity. You hear the sounds of cutters and cranes moving things around all day. We don't have a polished office; it is mostly just the warehouse and the outdoor space where the marble is kept. Rain or shine, the guys are out there moving these heavy pieces. It takes a lot of muscle and careful handling so nothing cracks. We have been operating from this Harmada location for a good bit of time. People know us as the place on the corner of the block. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most folks just see the stacks of marble from the road and stop their cars to take a look. It’s a straightforward business. We show them what we have, talk about the different patterns in the stone, and help them figure out the measurements. It is a long day's work but seeing the stone ready to go is alright. We just keep things simple and focus on the heavy lifting.
