We’ve been here at 353 Hanuman Nagar Extension for a while now. If you know the Sirsi Road area, Janak Marg is pretty easy to find once you get past the main markets. It’s mostly houses around here, so it stays fairly quiet during the day except for the odd delivery truck or the school buses coming through. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a regular space where we handle the foundation's paperwork and meet with local people who drop by. We started this because we saw a lot of things in the neighborhood that needed a bit of attention. Usually, someone is at the desk by nine in the morning, though sometimes we’re out on the road till late. The Jaipur heat gets pretty bad in the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with the work. We don't have a big team or a lot of equipment. It's mostly just a few of us coordinating things from this spot. People in Janak Marg know us well enough. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power goes out, but that’s just how things are in this part of town. We try to keep our files organized, but there's always a stack of papers somewhere that needs sorting. It’s a busy life but it feels right being right here in the middle of the community. We've got a small sign outside so people don't miss the turn.
