If you know Chandpole Bazar, you know how packed it gets. We are located in Kallon Ka Mohlla, specifically at K G B Ka Rasta, number 3725. It’s a very old part of the city, and the history is literally in the walls. Rajendra has been here for years, and the shop is like a second home. The streets are so tight that you can’t really bring a car in, so it’s all about people walking or the odd scooter squeezing through. Our space is small and filled to the ceiling with whatever we’re dealing with at the moment. It smells like old wood and city air. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that have seen better days. Customers come in and sit on the stools, and we talk about the weather or the market prices. It’s a slow process sometimes, but that’s the way of the bazaar. We know all the other shopkeepers around us. If we need something, we just shout across the lane. There’s no website or digital marketing going on here. We just open the shop, sweep the front, and wait for the regulars to stop by. It’s a very traditional way of doing things and it works for us. Even when the monsoon rains flood the streets, we stay open and just put a board across the door.
