Agarwal Marbles

Our shop, Agarwal Marbles, is located at 15 Gopal Nagar-A. You can find us right under the railway over bridge on the Gopalpura Bypass. It is a very loud spot because of the trains passing overhead and the heavy traffic on the bypass road, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We have been here for quite some time now. Most of our work involves moving big marble slabs around the yard. It is a dusty environment, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We don't have a big fancy showroom with air conditioning; it is mostly just the yard and a small cabin for the accounts. People often pull over when they are driving past because they see the stone stacked up high. We talk to a lot of builders and regular homeowners who are just trying to fix up their floors. It is a simple way of doing things. We don't use any high-pressure tactics or anything like that. We just show what we have and tell them the price. Some days are slow when the weather is bad, but usually, there is enough to keep us busy with cutting or loading. It’s a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from sweeping the floor to talking to the truck drivers who bring in the new stock from the quarries.
