Advocate Tanveer Ahmed

My name is Tanveer Ahmed and I run my law practice from 48 K 2 in Jyoti Nagar, just off M I Road. It’s a pretty central location which makes it easy for clients to get here, though finding a parking spot is always a bit of a struggle. I started out here a long time ago. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place to work and meet people who are going through some legal trouble or another. I handle all sorts of things, from basic advice to representing people in court. My desk is usually buried under folders and I’m often on the phone with clerks or other lawyers. It’s a lot of reading and writing, to be honest. I don't go for big fancy signs or anything like that. Just a small plate outside with my name. Most days, I’m just trying to get through the pile of work I have on my desk. I see people from all walks of life. Some are stressed out, others just need a signature or a document checked over before they sign it. I just tell them how it is. If a case is going to take a long time, I tell them that straight away. There’s no point in making things sound better than they are. It’s hard work but it’s what I know how to do. Being in Jyoti Nagar feels right to me.
